LIST OF MODS. TO BE INCLUDED IN SCHEME
FOR REDUCED COST B.III RADIATOR.

(1) Cheapered construction of top tank and matrix plate either as shown on Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}487 or as on Messrs. Marston's sketch attached.

(2) Top tank to extend rearward from matrix instead of forward to simplify shape and enable cheaper filler scheme, to be used together with vertical inlet pipe if separate top tank and matrix plate are used.

(3) Matrix unit used to brace shell. No diagonal cross bracing at rear of matrix.

(4) Top hinge used as centre radiator stay.

(5) Cheapered construction of radiator yoke. (See Marston's drawing).

(6) Cheaper construction of steam valve as shown in Marston's drawing.

(7) Cheaper lamp and wing supports (See Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}487).
