3 discharges are less numerous, but intensity at the beginning of the arc phase is increased. Parasites (atmospherics) in wireless reception.- Their origin is probably to be found in the disruptive phase that takes place once at least for each spark, while the H.F. oscillat-ions only occur irregularly and rather infrequently. This disruptive phase acts on the receiver like an electro-magnetic shock, and disturbs it, whatever the wawe length for which it it set. ---------- It seems that up to now, the construction of plugs and magnetos has only resulted in the studying of the maximum tension necessary for the disruptive discharge. Our researches show that, in order to improve further the working of these organs, it is also necessary to undertake the study of the other phases of the spark. R.{Sir Henry Royce} ANTHOUARD. | ||
