RE: COIL OFF CHASSIS GLN.60. "N" DEPT.

This coil was supplied by the Experimental Dept. and is not standard production, the windings not having been dipped in parafin wax. If my memory serves me right the Exp. Dept. asked for a coil like this, in order to test it against those that were waxed. I have dismantled this coil and find the paper insulation burned through between the top and second layer of the secondary wire. When these two layers of wire were removed the coil was O.K.
