RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 X. 3513. ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFE Date: 20 June 1921 Order No: 41B.L. Customer's No.: 1 XH04 Electrical Units with X 3513 Experimental Insulation. Mr Olley in Oy 6-E24/3/21 suggests the substitution of bakelite materials for the present standard insulation on several of the car units. Some experimental parts might be made up accordingly and tested, chiefly by alternately heating & cooling and subjecting to vibration. For this purpose, there does not seem to be sufficient material in the experimental dept., so that the following sample pieces each about 6" square will be required. (contd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
