Attention of Mr Harvey Bailey.

Dear Mr Bailey.,

TORQUE TUBE & PROPELLER SHAFT.
RE GLEASON BEVEL THRUST.

In reply to yours of the 15th inst., reference BY5-P15721, regarding the above, I would say that our no. 360 Ball Bearing is listed at a load of 3500 lbs at 1200 r.p.m. You will see from this, in conjunction with my previous remarks, that the bearing should have a fair chance of success, provided you can ensure the correct mounting as called for by such arrangement.

When you have completed your bench tests I can possibly help you in passing an opinion on the condition of the tracks of the bearings as to whether this would give any extended life.

I remain

Yours faithfully.,

W Cooper
