TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X5992 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/10.3.31. COPY TO E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} RE CAR FOR "R" AT W.W. We anticipate that "R" will wish to have the Barker two-door, four seater all weather 16.G.IV. as soon as he returns to W.W. and we would be glad if you could arrange that the head be repaired before it is sent. If you take it to Barkers they will soon put right the damage which was done by someone who attempted to put the head down by force in an incorrect manner. As the seats on this car are far too low for the "E" column now fitted we suggest that the car might be improved in every way by fitting the new "F" steering which we have recently instructed. No doubt this is the last summer that Sir Henry will use this car, and that it will be a Japan III that will be at W.W. for 1932. We shall try and prevent it being a sporting car, and shall suggest that it be a six seater Pullman as suggested by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} but our hopes are not high.
