To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X 7360. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}10/MJ.16.12.30. X.7930. X.7360. BRAKE SQUEAKS. We do not quite agree with the remarks in BY3/G.16.12.30., where it is stated that the rear brake has not suffered from squeaks. GMI. reports that cars coming in to Cricklewood have suffered quite as much from rear brake noise as front brake noise, though the note is different. Recently on our Experimental cars we have also suffered from noisy rear brakes. When the rear brakes do become vocal they are even more disconcerting than the front brakes. We therefore consider that we should do everything we can to get the Hancock shoe tried out on the rear axle. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
