PHANTOM CHASSIS.

SIDE STEERING TUBE SEC:7070.

Please receive herewith two Blue Prints of each of the following:-

F.76108 Scheme for fitting Lower Rated Springs with Increased Deflection in Existing Side Steering Tubes.
F.76109 Side Steering Tube. 1 off per chassis.
F.76110 Spring for Side Steering Tube. 4 " " "
F.76111 Outer Plug. 2 " " "
F.76112 Inner Plug. 2 " " "

Kindly instruct for each of the above to be produced and fitted Experimentally, noting that they are in accordance with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s requirements, namely to obtain an arrangement with Springs of 1500 lbs/inch rating and .200 deflection.

The Spring space was somewhat restricted, but we have obtained a spring giving as near as possible the specification proposed by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, as follows:-
