re Large Bore Bentley.
Referring to memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/KW.7.2.36, we have not instructed any changes from the Design office to the throttle stop mechanism, as outlined in this memo, and it is, therefore, very surprising that we are being called to account for upsetting a system which we took a good deal of trouble to establish and perfect on the original Bentley.
So far as my information goes these changes were instructed direct to the Production D.O. from the Experimental Department.
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
