R.H. 835a (500 T) (H.D. 408. 28-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. X 1357 EFC1/T1119. 1st. January 1919. Messrs. Holophane Limited, 12, Carteret Street, Queen Anne's Gate, London, S.W.1. Dear Sirs, RE HEAD LAMP PLATES. Referring to your letter of November 20th last, ref: M/CIR, on the subject of the control of light from motor head light plates, this has been passed on to us from our London Office. The head Lamps we have used in the past have been either of the C.A.V. or Lucas pattern, and at the moment our future practice in this respect is unsettled. Seeing that the legislation concerning the maximum candle power to be used in head lamps is likely to be in force in the future, it will apparently be very desirable to have some means of directing the whole of the available light on the road surface, therefore, we thought perhaps if we sent you along two C.A.V. head lamps such as we were in the habit of using before the War, you would perhaps fit these up with glass reflector plates as mentioned, so that we could give these a trial on the road. Yours faithfully, | ||
