To: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HH From V.W.H 5840 Hôtel de France Chateauroux. 22/2/30 We have received your wire: VALVE ARRIVED SUSPECT PRE IGNITION WHAT PLUGS ARE YOU USING STOP. We have been using the special K.L.G. Plugs No 629 non-corosiv. We have had no sign of high speed of pre ignition. There has been no loss of power and the engine ceased to fire immediately the ignition was switched off, the only sign of pre ignition we have had, was when the car was stopped and the engine switched off, it revolved for several moments afterwards. The centre electrodes of the plugs have certainly shown signs of having been pre igniting. G.W.H. | ||
