X2677 Hl. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/Anl 3.6.32. With reference to your report Hl.1/AG9.6.32 re the material of which the A.C. petrol pump head is made, we wish to test our own petrol pump head made in similar alloy. The analysis you gave us is as follows :- Copper - 2.9% Aluminium - 3.1% Magnesium - Traces Iron - Traces Zinc - Balance We would ask you to obtain the pattern from the Pattern Shop and cast 2 or 3 heads for us in this material which we will then machine. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is about to make a pattern alteration so that we will wait until this has been done before producing the petrol pump heads.
