Exptl. Dept. HE/RB.{R. Bowen}16/KW. 31st May, 1934. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley, Esq., The Cadillac Motor Car Co., Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Oy, I have received the specification of the Buick car from Mr. Chayne. Thank you for getting him to send it along. We should still very much like an arrangement drawing of the engine. There are two questions I want to ask you - (1) Do you find that the rubber bushings which I see you put between the spring shackle and the frame reduce the harshness of the suspension generally, or is their main function to damp out tyre noise from the body when running over sets ? (2) Have you ever tried stabilisers on the front ? I hope to try the first La{L. A. Archer} Salle which is arriving in England to-morrow. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
