(2) CWB4/GM/10.11.27. Clutch. The clutch is very smooth, but appears to be just on the point of slipping at times, and on one occasion has actually slipped slightly. The clutch stop appears to be out of adjustment. Brakes. These were found to be very good, soft and effective and did not actually give any trouble with squeaks except on one occasion just at the start. Tyres. I was quite surprised at the comparatively small amount of noise from the tyres on this car. I returned the car this afternoon and hope that you have received it safely. I am very glad to have had the opportunity of trying it again, as it is rather more than 12 months since I was last in it. Is this car still fitted with the latest form of anti rattle device for the controls in the steering column? I remember last year that after the 10,000 mile test and some considerable further mileage, these controls were absolutely silent, whereas they appear to be quite slack now and are rattling rather badly.
