X.3398 - P & R BATTERY FOR 40/50. This battery has thicker plates and is in every way built for durability. This results in a greater weight of battery proper and a larger lighting capacity, also with a slightly increased cranking ability. Since, however, the battery does not require an independent box as does our present standard, the difference of weight is nil, though the battery proper shows an increase of about 12 lbs over the old. We recommend that it would be very sound policy to adopt this battery as a simultaneous standard with our present Exide 6 EXRE5. By having these two, we should be in a much better position should we experience any serious trouble with either make of battery. EFC. | ||
