contd :- The F.{Mr Friese} S/C. engines at present are all being fitted to Single Seater Scouts which operate at high altitude and quickly pass through any range of detonation which may exist. (3) The M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} S/C. engine will repeat the test at 2250 r.p.m. with 5.5 comp. ratio pistons which means the engine, instead of restoring ground power at 4000 ft. will be reduced to 15 ON ft. (4) It has previously been agreed that we should run a F.{Mr Friese} engine at 600 HP. at 2500 r.p.m. In order to prove whether we can put up the revs. to 2350, the Ministry have asked that this test shall be amended and that we shall run the test at 525 HP. at 2350 r.p.m. maintaining the power at 4000 ft.
