Failed 16,903 Engine decarbonized, Valves ground in and seats re-cut 18,249 Gearbox failure locking rings on 3rd motion shaft broken, damaging 2nd speed gear and cone 18,722 Horn and trafficator wire down centre of Steering Column failed 19,805 Rubber bushes, Rear Shock Damper Links disintegrated 21,252 Sparking plugs failed, Champion L.10, new plugs of same type fitted. 21,252 Bonnet catch faulty, spring load increased to keep Bonnet fastened 21,932 Carburettor cleaned and re-set. 23,364 Axle half shaft near side broken in two 24,534 Starter Motor switch faulty 24,787 The oil consumption was 4,500 m.p.g. at start, but has now dropped to 290 m.p.g.
