RE. ATHMOS PRIMER.

The sample 'Athmos' Primer has been tested as requested according to memo. Rg{Mr Rowledge}6/W17.9.24. and compared with an RR. Primer.

There is much to recommend about this Athmos Primer regarding the efficiency, weight and simplicity both in manufacture and operation, and it could be easily adapted for either cars or aero engines.

There is an excellent spray at each of the four jets when pumping quite slowly and the RR. Primer when pumping at the best speed is poor in comparison.

WEIGHT COMPARED WITH RR. PRIMER.

WEIGHT.     R.R. lbs.ozs.     Athmos. lbs.ozs.
Wt. complete with fittings and 20 ft. of pipe.     5 7     3 1
Primers only.     3 4     12

TESTS.

RR. No.of strokes.     Athmos. No. of strokes.
To pump 2 cu.ins.having 20 ft. of pipeline. Speed pump operated 30 strokes per min.     50     6
No. of strokes to fill 20 ft. pipe at 30 per min.     20     6

For the above tests the Athmos had to lift the contd :-
