Ry. from EFC. X6052 EFC2/AD31.3.31. X.6112. R.R. CONDENSER. Please find attached sketch of design details of the proposed experimental condenser of circular construction which sketch has been put forward by my assistant Mr. West. It represents a condenser very much on the same lines as the Delco circular condenser. The intention is that the condenser be contained within the space occupied by the contact breaker and distributor in a position near the top of the present condenser but not in a pocket as at present. The advantages claimed for this type are :- (1) Cheapness of manufacture. (2) Simplification of distributor. and (3) Elimination of variation of capacity in service due to the fact that there is no squashing of the condenser into an oval shape. We should be pleased to have your comments of the possibility of incorporating this design in our present unit. EFC. Attached. | ||
