40/50 HP. & 20 HP. SWITCHBOX.

You may have noted that in our EFC1/T2.3.28, and referring particularly to the slight modification to the switchbox ensuring breakage of the field circuit of the dynamo before that of the armature circuit, we said that we thought this slight modification should be adopted as standard forthwith, and that Mr. Royce, in his RIO/M5.3.28, has said "I agree to modifying the switches so that excitation is broken first".

This is a modification which of course has not had time to complete a 10,000 mile test, and for which therefore we cannot make out a standardisation sheet, but the extent of the modification is perhaps so small that you would consider us putting it through without such a sheet.

Perhaps you will let me know.

EFC.
