Modified control for butterfly valve in exhaust pipe. Origin. To prevent the possibility of the exhaust butterfly valve holding open carburetter throttle. Experimental Test Report. This modification consists of the butterfly valve being closed by a spring. If this valve sticks, it would remain wide open and no harm would result. Road Test Report. Run 3600 miles on 6-EX.
