Description of Parts. ORIGINAL OIL LEVEL INDICATOR.
Drawing No.
Part List
Origin. To enable driver to always see how much oil is in engine.
Experimental Test Report. When the oil level indicator is fitted we do away with the side oil tank and oil level tap. Taking away the side tank enables an improved spare wheel carrier to be fitted.
Road Test Report. Run 3200 miles on 6-EX. Run 2750 miles on 49-GB. It is a definite improvement over the present scheme. It is cleaner and it will encourage fresh oil to be added to the engine more often.
