For the attention of Mr. H.E. West. YOUR REF. OUR REF. WCK/PG SUBJECT Car Radio. 16th November..1935. Dear Mr. West, I am writing to you on this subject with particular reference to the application of Car Radio on Bentley and Rolls Royce cars, because several times recently it has been brought to my attention that we appear to have been carrying out an operation that is considered to be objectionable by your Company. As far as I can see, without knowing too much about the matter, you appear to be reasonable in raising objections. The point at issue is that the voltage regulator fitted to the generator on your cars upsets agreeable reception by the radio equipment. To overcome this annoyance the radio people, including ourselves, seem to make a practice of fitting extra capacity to the regulator circuit. Your Company, on the other hand, is insistent that such fitting be discontinued since I understand it is claimed that such additional fittings upset the proper operation of the voltage regulator contacts.
