TO DY.{F R Danby} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E2/M24.10.29. 18/2 RECEIVED c. to GY. c. to WSH. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}✓ c. to F.{Mr Friese} GOSHAWK 11. - CARBURETTER. X4228 We send herewith drawing No. Lec 1646 shewing the air valve of Goshawk 11. carburetter modified to prevent the air valve disc from riding on top of the guiding fingers when the air valve is being screwed into the spray chamber as a unit. This latter contingency actually occurs on 6.Goshawk 11., and there is danger of the air valve disc rod being bent. Mr. Royce wishes me to say that he removed the aluminium washer underneath the air valve on the Goshawk we have here so that the air valve disc occupied a lower position in the high speed choke. This was thought to result in some improvement in carburation. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
