| Nature of Complaint. | No. of Cars. Prior to India. | India Series. | Remarks. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Motor failures, from various causes. | W. 1. N. 2. P. - [Handwritten] 20. | W.11. Last n.26. qtr's P. - total- [Handwritten] 28. | No permanent cure has been found, but improvements are being made. |
| Slipper Drive seizures. | W. 7. N. 1. P. - [Handwritten] 18. | W. 8. Last N. 2. qtr's P. - total- [Handwritten] 13. | A new Oiling Device has been introduced which we hope will prove a cure. We adopt on all Engines when they are dismantled. |
| Steering Wobbles. | W. 9. N. 4. P. - [Handwritten] 42. | W.14. Last N.12. qtr's P. 3. total- [Handwritten] 14. | We are successfully dealing with the low speed wobble by fitting the Spring-loaded Side Steering Tube in most cases. We do, however, still get a small percentage of complaints due to Steering joggles and snatching which the Spring-loaded Cross Steering Tube does not overcome. For cases of critical Owners we would recommend a changeover of steering is provided, such as the one fitted to Chassis GMK-49 - Flather. We have on record, cases of customers disposing of their cars on account of our inability to overcome complaints of steering joggles. |
