X1375 jlyw c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E.7/HP.23.3.36. re Engine Test Bed. I understand at the time when we were going ahead with a Straight '8' Wraith, all the necessary arrangements had been made, and authority obtained for rigging up a suitable engine test equipment. This test equipment appears to have been held up by the change in engine policy, but it is nevertheless required for engine development, as we shall have some sort of new engine for the Wraith, and in connection with this we wish to make a test of the Pierce Arrow Straight '8' side valve engine for obtaining data in connection with a small 12. Would you kindly say if the instructions for this tackle can go ahead. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 807 | ||
