Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 5th., together with drawing L.1076 adapting your bearings to one of our engines.

On checking this over we find there are one or two dimensions which you have assumed from the bearing drawings we submitted to you that do not exactly tally. We have accordingly marked these up in red pencil and return the drawing so that you may make any alterations to the bearings that are necessary to match up with the red pencil figures. You will realise that it is much easier for you to alter any width of bearing rather than we have to alter the width of our crank or case etc. If there are any other dimensions you wish, will you please let us know, otherwise when you have made the necessary adjustments to your bearings to suit our red figures will you please return the drawings which will enable us to make a start on the necessary special crankcase.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
