Dear Sir, With regard to the order which you have placed with us for the R.R. type Car Heater we find that from the manufacturing point of view it is advantageous to construct the matrix in our Mark lll type of construction rather than in Mark V.{VIENNA} construction (as used on experimental heaters), and we have accordingly carried out comparative tests on heaters fitted with these two types of blocks. Attached sheet shows the results of these tests and you will see that Mark lll block gives 92.5% of the corresponding Mark V.{VIENNA} heat dissipation but permits approximately 7% more air flow with the same Fan and Fan speed. In our view therefore this Mark lll matrix will be quite suitable for your requirements and we should like you to confirm that you agree to its use in these production heaters. Yours faithfully, C.
