TEST NO. V.111.
WOODHEADS 20% STIFFER FRONT SPRINGS - 9-PK & 98-NK CARS.

TROUBLES.
Servo jaggers occurred intermittently during the test.
Down pipe flange broken away from front silencer.
Step iron broken.
Hartford shock absorber arms buckled.
Steering pendulum lever loose on its splines.
Engine seized up but afterwards freed itself.
Main cyl. extra oil pipe broken.
No.4 big end bearing failed.
Windscreen broken. Glass broken. Front wing stay broken (twice). Front wings split continually. Wheel carriers broken (twice). Scuttle frame broken (twice).

CAUSE OR REMEDY.
Down pipe flange and manifold union not in line.
No.4 big end bearing seized temporarily.
Front springs transferred to 98-NK and 10,000 miles test concluded.

9.PK engine bearings overhauled. Body overhauled. Steering overhauled. New steering nut fitted. 20.622 miles. Brakes not touched.
