FINAL TEST ON ADOPTED SCHEME OF BRAKES. 9-PK CAR.

Main cyl. extra oil pipe broken.
Steering bad for shocks and wobbles.
Front spring broken.
Induction pipe cracked.
Water in petrol system.
Front spring broken.
Sand in floatchamber.
Petrol tank loose.

Step iron broken.
Windscreen framework broken. Wind-screen glass broken. Spare wheel carriers broken. Front wing stay broken. (Wings splitting continually.)

CAUSE OR REMEDY.
Rapson super-comfort tyres fitted for first part of test. Steering O.K. with Dunlops.

Purchased petrol contained water.

Cleaned out.
Suspension bolts loose and brkts. worn.
Loose petrol tank.
Battery and spare petrol tin carried on running board.

MILEAGE ON TEST 11,077 - AVERAGE SPEED 36.5 M.P.H.

Brakes required no attention beyond adjustments; and functioned perfectly. All troubles experienced on tests iv. and v.{VIENNA} not existant on this car after test. Front O.K: Front brake toggle shafts required re-lining in their bearings. Silichrome valves gave no trouble. Not touched during test and found only very slightly pitted afterwards. No trouble from exhaust system. Engine gave no trouble. Not affected by brake application. Steering nut slightly slack (not new at commencement). No side steering tubes springs failed.
