EXTRACT. of letter signed by Henry M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Crane.

6th December 1926.

About a week ago I had a letter from Maurice Olley saying that your Chief Experimental Engineer, Mr. Hives, was asking for information regarding the operation of the harmonic balancer used on Buick and Oakland crankshafts. We cabled from Detroit to Kennington asking him to arrange for Mr. Sewall, who prosecuted the Patent Office application for the harmonic balancer, to get in touch with Mr. Hives and to give him the desired information. I hope that this has worked out all right.
