10HH To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} c.c. to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}2/JH.23.6.39. B.80 Water Pump Rig. There may have been some confusion about previous notes on this job and we should like to clarify the position. We require the following pieces in order of urgency for the rig :- (1) Water pump B.80 with l/c pulley and spare alum. pulley. (2) Dynamo - old or new type B.80 - with l/C and alum pulleys. (3) l/C and alum crankshaft pulleys. (4) Any dynamo - Wraith or B.ll - fitted with an l/C or alum B.80 pulley for Ferodo test rig. We should like these items as quickly as possible as the rig is more or less standing, and we have been rigging up with units borrowed from an experimental engine, also Ferodo's are holding up testing waiting for parts. We suggest therefore that a spare dynamo and water pump be instructed right away unless it is considered that parts could be spared from some of the engines not yet ready. Alternatively if a pump and dynamo are replaced on an old engine by more up to date models, the replaced parts would be suitable for the rig. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L.
