Dear Sirs,

We have examined a pair of Triou Shock Absorbers on one of our cars and we find that on the near side one there are two holes in the piston closed with flat springs which relieve the pressure when the road springs are compressed, but on the off side one there are none at all, the result being that the off side shock absorber offers a considerable resistance to the compression of the springs as well as to the rebound.

We shall be obliged if you will inform us whether these shock absorbers are correct, and if so, what is the reason for making one side different to the other. By no adjustment of the valve can we make these shock absorbers equal.
