Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} / Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x7060 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Silent Tappets on the Phantom. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}8/E28.1.35 Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}E.BY: Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/KW.18.X.35, the silent tappets have been fitted to my car for several months and, so far, have worked very satisfactorily. As this has been done to a Phantom car, presumably the design work has been done but on this point I am not clear. In view, however, of the tailing off of the Phantom, I am not sure what can be done about introducing them. I should be glad if you would discuss it with the people concerned and let me know.
