DYNO. RUNNING ON 5.B.IV. TO TEST GEARBOX AND AXLE.

Hi-Press in gearbox.
H.G.L. in axle.
5.50 x 18 tyres on one side } For tests (a) (b) and first
7.00 x 17 tyre on other side. } 10 hours of (c).

(a) 1 hour full throttle 2000 r.p.m. on direct.
(b) 100 hours " " " " " overdrive
(c) 30 hours " " " " " 2nd.
(d) 2 hours " " " " " 1st.
(e) 8 hours at 2nd. gear lift " " 1st.
(f) 1/4 hour full throttle " " 1st.

During tests (e) and (f) use Vacuum A in Gearbox.

Axle temperature to be maintained as near as possible to 125°C and not to exceed 130°C. Lag if necessary.

Gearbox temperature not to exceed 130°C. It does not matter if the gearbox runs cooler but this is unlikely.
