40/50 CHASSIS.
RE TYRES.

Mr Royce is asking us to make an 895 x 150 mm tyre standard for all 4 wheels where the single tyres are used,

The point which he raises in his memo, but of which I am not quite certain is, that he apparently requires a tyre 150 mm in section to fit on to the standard Dunlop wire wheel, which is suitable for 895 x 135.

I would like to know whether this is actually possible, as he appears to suggest that it is what we are actually doing in the case of 49 GB. If this is actually what is being done at the moment when we fit 150 mm section tyres, does it mean that the outside diameter of the tyre is increased and that the 895 is merely a nominal diameter and not the actual?

[Handwritten note]
apparently One tyre B requires an "oversize" BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}
895 x 135 wheels admit 150 m/m section instead of 135 m/m
