1245 Sr. c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E.4/HP.5.2.40. Dear Sr, Replying to your memo Sr.9/ET.29.1.40, Lp{Mr Lappin} is the official responsible for saying what information can be given to aircraft contractors, and this is never released without his consent, or through him. I am accordingly communicating your request to him but will see that the information is handed to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} in any case. Thank you for the print of the Messerschmidt exhaust manifold. This is obviously designed to act on our ejector principle, the gas being speeded up between the port and the nozzle by 100%. The size of the studs for holding this simple fitting, as shown by the holes in the flange, is colossal, e.g. 12 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} I think their studs too large and ours too small. With kind regards, Yours, | ||
