not look as though the re-dipping process on a used cooler gives the requisite standard of strength. Two unused hand soldered coolers which we tested failed after 39 and 91 pressure changes. We are returning these to you and would like you to convert them by dipping and return them to us as soon as possible, we will then test them for strength in a similar manner, it may be possible to convert hand soldered coolers if they have not been used.

With regard to the coolers which you are at present delivering, it would help us a good deal if you could put the serial number (E - ) on the bottom edge of the distribution plate so that the number can be easily seen when the cooler is assembled in its case.

If you can do this, will you please mark all future coolers in this manner, and send the first sample one marked 'For the attention of Mr. Steadman'.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS - ROYCE LTD.
