In regard to the distortion of the valve head on the 40/50 which has occurred on a good many exhaust valves, my last note succeeded in locating a block of cylinders in our own Repair Department which has given trouble with two exhaust valves. I have asked for this to be sent into my office and it will be available this afternoon. It is a very important matter that we should settle definitely what is the cause of this distortion and I would therefore like you to send for the block of cylinders and arrange for something to be done with it at once, if possible.
