which has had to be cut away due to its altered shape of the bracket. The flange of the bracket being on the opposite side has brought the bracket 1/2" upper position forward. which has made it necessary to bolt the box to the outside edge of bracket. This causes an overhang of the bolt. which in time will stand up to its job. We cannot get to drill the chassis frame without taking the subframe off. The tie stay fitted to frame has again worn allowing the battery box to sway about and rattle. We have made two new brackets and tie rod increasing the bearing dia. which we believe will stand up to its job. The whole of the Battery suspension will have to be thoroughly tackled. Col Howkins informs me that there has been several cases over here with a similar failure, and they have discarded our suspension altogether and fitted a couple of plate bands round the box.
