For the attention of A.F. Martindale, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

We are very much obliged to you for your letter of the 4th March, in connection with an austenitic iron for brake drum liners.

In reply we may say that we are as a matter of fact experimenting with an austenitic iron in which the nickel is partially replaced by manganese.

As the subject is rather a large one, we think perhaps the best way would be for the writer to see you, and if you will kindly let us know what day next week would be convenient, we would make arrangements accordingly.

Thanking you,

We are,

Yours faithfully,

JAMES & CO (B'HAM) LTD.
