DIPPING HEAD LIGHTS ON MR. ROYCE'S CAR.

We considerably modified the Barker scheme of dipping head lights when it was fitted to Mr. Royce's car.

We do not like the appearance of the operating rod running along-side the bonnet. We altered this and put the rod inside the frame, and operated the lamps by means of a bellcrank. We also altered the lever and carried it on the same bracket on the frame as we carry the hand brake lever.

Mr. Royce is at the present time working on a scheme for dipping head lights so that until the new scheme is available we should say that the Barker arrangement as it stands is as good as any.
