The attached report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 7/LH{Mr Haworth}19. 2. 29 shews that the intermediate oil supply as we anticipated reaches quite a high pressure during the warming up period, and might therefore be used to get oil to the valve gear early.

The comparison with normal running pressures is as follows :

WARMING UP. NORMAL.
HIGH........... 32 lbs/sq.in. 25.0
INTERMEDIATE..... 16 " " 3.5
LOW............ 5.5 " " 1.75
