Smith} ENGINE VALVE ROCKER COVER. ----------------------------- Referring to LeC.2651 we are quite satisfied with what we have got instructed experimentally and for standard, as this has been tried out. The four knurled nuts will hold down the cover satisfactorily. With reference to the special form of cover shown in Figure 2, we think that when we are clear of our present rush, this might be instructed experimentally. If it is made as shown, and this is a matter I will settle with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, I am certain it will be a failure. Personally I do not see any need for producing the part as it is shown without felt. (If it is made with felt then, since the present scheme is quiet, one does not expect to obtain a benefit.
