To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} From Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 106. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/MJ.28.11.32. PEREGRINE BRAKES. We find that the front brakes on this car are prevented from coming on because the lubricator for the swinging arm does not allow sufficient movement backwards of the swinging arm, the recess for the lubricator not being large enough. We have discussed this with T.W.D. and suggest that the swinging arm be capable of moving backwards to such an extent that the front brakes can come on up to the servo stops without the rear brakes moving. This would then allow for any amount of wear or maladjustment. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/H.Grylls. | ||
