(3) Rear Step Iron.

On F.CD.922, we shew the body brackets and step irons in the neighbourhood of the front end of the rear road springs. The body bracket and step iron are now combined and placed at a point 31.250" in front of the centre line of the rear axle, which is the position they assumed recently on B.50 with 56" rear springs.

(4) Petrol Tank.

You asked for a print of F.CD.744. We have looked at this scheme and see that there is nothing in it of interest to you which is not disclosed on the other schemes of the petrol tank. The B.5. type chassis will all have 16 gallon tanks.

(5) Transverse Stays to Back of Body.

We have to send you a scheme for transverse stays to the back of the body on the lines of those used on P.III.

Most of the above points were discussed with you during our visit to your Works on Friday last, as well as finalised during your visit to us.

The following features the Experimental Dept. wish to try on the above body and we propose to visit you in the immediate future to make the necessary decisions.

(a) Door Locks.

It is desired to settle on the best type of door lock to be used in the light of our experience with the Rover Lock and the samples submitted by Messrs. Wilmot Breedon for your consideration. We await your report.

(b)

We wish to discuss with Messrs.Mead McLean & Co. and yourselves the fitting of no-draught ventilators built into the front doors.
