X.3424 RE BLACK FINISH OF PARTS.
------------------------

I am sending you herewith a sample of the above where the lettering has not been cleaned out. From an examination of similar parts on test the re-engraved letter soon dulls down. I would suggest that the sample submitted will actually, after delivery, be a cleaner looking job than where the lettering has been cleaned out.

Would you kindly return sample to me as soon as possible, as I have taken it off production.
