RE: INTRODUCTION OF LEATHER PACKINGS ON THE END OF THE BEARING BUSHES ON THE REAR BRAKE BELL CRANK LEVERS. N.Sch.4778. I have arranged with RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} that the above modification should be introduced on production immediately. The parts can all be produced from any finished parts which exist, the only new pieces being the leather packings G.84497 and the bronze bushes G.84498. As soon as these parts can be made available the Works will be in a position to introduce the improvement. Obviously the Works will have to continue with the existing parts until the Order Office can provide the leather packings as these are new, and until they are available the modification which is very important cannot be introduced.
