- 2 - This arrangement, we believe, will prevent any serious holdup, and in the meantime we are putting in hand a fresh supply of cams which will be hardened. We shall endeavour to hold the cam surface hardness to about 500 brinell, but we have yet to determine to what extent this heat treatment may cause distortion or other possible difficulties. The Writer appreciates your remarks, with which he is in entire agreement, that every effort must be made to satisfy you as regards the cams and that the question as to extra costs involved is one that can receive attention later.
