With further reference to my previous complaint on the above, we are receiving continual complaints of these breaking while engines are in service, which we have already pointed out is due to over-tightening. The replacing of these brackets, however, is a very extravagant job, which we should like to avoid. Even with the lugs strengthened, we are still having these breaking on test, although not so many. Is it not possible for these lugs to be fixed to the bracket as a separate piece, which could be made of steel, and if broken could be easily replaced?
